Thomas
Gaunt was
born 1795 in Frederick Co., VA as the fifth child of
John
Gaunt
and Margaret
Martin.
He married June 5, 1816 in Madisonville, Hopkins Co., KY to his
stepsister, Maria
C. Mott. He
moved to KY with his parents abt. 1811. In 1839-40 he moved his
young family by flatboat to Caledonia, IL (Alexandria Co.) He
was cited as a farmer, carpenter, and vestryman in the
Episcopal Church in Madisonville, KY.
He and
