Gaunt- Thomas Gaunt was born 1795 in Frederick Co., VA as the fifth child of John Gaunt and Margaret Martin. He married June 5, 1816 in Madisonville, Hopkins Co., KY to his stepsister, Maria C. Mott. He moved to KY with his parents abt. 1811. In 1839-40 he moved his young family by flatboat to Caledonia, IL (Alexandria Co.) He was cited as a farmer, carpenter, and vestryman in the Episcopal Church in Madisonville, KY.

- James Martin "Mart" Gaunt b. Apr. 8, 1821 Hopkins Co., KY m. Feb. 17, 1848 in Pulaski Co., IL to Mary Ann Steers (1825-1900) d. Oct. 21, 1875 Grand Chain, IL
- Nancy Catherine Walker Gaunt b. Jan. 23, 1823 Hopkins Co., KY m. Thomas Helms and moved to Iowa.
