Gaunt- John Gaunt was born and married first in England to Margaret Martin. He immigrated to VA . His wife died and he married in 1804 a widow with small children named Tabitha Dobyns Mott. About 1811 he took his family to Hopkins Co., KY. He died in 1821. He was listed as a farmer and planter. John and Margaret had the following children:

- James. H. Gaunt (could possibly be from the Marriage to Tabitha)
- John had two stepdaughters, daughters of Tabitha D. Mott, with his second marriage.
- Mary/Mollie Hollingsworth m. Apr. 7, 1799 and d. before July 21, 1821.
