In the meantime, know that my favorite male opera singer is Andrea Bocelli who is blind.: My favorite female opera singer is Sarah Brightman. When they sing together I am in heaven! I like Joshua Bell, violinist.
I also like country/western and oldies from the 50's and 60's--Yes, I am a baby boomer--Yuppie--!: George Strait, the Arbuckle Boys and Riders in the Sky are my favorites.; --Barbara

Barbara Dell Denny was born in late May, in Baton Rouge, LA after World War II.
She was the first born child of: LaDell and Ivanore (Harrold) Denny.

With LaDell, a Southerner from Louisiana and Ivanore, a Yankee from Pennsylvania, Barbara ended up with the best of both worlds growing up in Baton Rouge, La.

Barbara has 1 brother, Kerry Lynn Denny, who is married to Sheila Gaspard. Her son, Bryan Gaspard is part of our family. They reside in Baton Rouge, LA.
Kerry has many businesses there and Sheila is a Medical Technologist.

Barbara developed an early interest in history and genealogy before graduating from Robert E.Lee High School in Baton Rouge. She still enjoys historical tidbits and is an avid genealogist of her own family tree.

The class quote assigned to her was, "Happiness is made to be shared." She tries very hard to bring happiness to other people by sharing her talents.

She received her undergraduate degree from Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, LA and her Masters Degree from Louisiana State University, then met and married Brooks Lloyd George while finishing her Doctorate Degree at L.S.U. in Baton Rouge, LA.
They moved to Texas.
Brooks was born in Alexandria, LA to David Lloyd and Virginia (Brooks) George.
He is the local representative for Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, based out of Wisconsin.

Barbara and Brooks are very proud of their 3 children:

Stacye Lynn Leathem, graduated from Louisiana State University majoring in English and went on to Paralegal School in Atlanta, GA. She works for a law firm in New Orleans, LA

She is married to Dyton John Leathem (DJ),; President of Unique Restorations in Louisiana.; They have two wonderful children: Kayla and Meagan.

: Kenneth Tyler George, graduated from Texas A & M University in Mechanical Engineering. He is an Engineer for Alpine Engineering and is married to Melissa A. (Woerner), also an Aggie Grad, and graduate of Southwest Medical School in Dallas . She is a Doctor of Internal Medicine. They live in the Texas Hill Country.


Dana Marie George, graduated from the University of North Texas in Graphic Design.
She is a Web Designer for a software firm in Dallas, TX. She enjoys country dancing, waterskiing, camping, hiking, going to movies, plays, musicals, and broadway productions, and her church activities.


The family has 2 pets:
Doc, the blue and gold macaw, is 22 years old.
His vocabulary includes: Go Tigers, Howdy, I'm an Aggie, Don't Mess with Texas, Merry Christmas, Happy Birthday, I Love You, Rise and Shine, Morning Glory and much more!
Buckskin, a 3 yr. old yellow lab, can catch just about anything you can throw in mid-air. He is a real sweety!
